ABOUT OUR DANCE SCHOOL
Lorraine McDonald School of Dance was first established in August 2007, in Bonnybridge Community centre, Falkirk, with the 1st class know as Bonnybridge Twirl & Cheer. These were the 1st two styles of dance we offered, along with our Grown Up & Me classes (Little Movers).
Very quickly we began to offer more dance styles, and set up our 2nd venue in Muirhead, North Lanarkshire.
Our dance school was given an amazing opportunity at the end of 2010 to expand in to new areas, and so in January 2011 we had classes in 5 areas around the Central belt.
All these classes have seen students stay with us long term, seen some come and go, seen some move on to teaching with us now and we look forward to seeing more teachers come through the ranks over the coming years.
After the amazing fun of online teaching during our lockdown months through Covid times, we decided to alter our class set up and working week, therefore now only teaching in 2 areas, Cumbernauld (various venues) and Bonnybridge (community centre).
We have many teachers in the school now, covering various styles and classes, along with many teaching assistants and volunteer jnr assistants.
